What is it
Helifix crack stitching is a structural repair technique used to stabilize and restore the integrity of cracked masonry walls. It involves embedding specially designed stainless steel helical (twisted) bars into the mortar joints of the affected wall. These bars are bonded in place using a high-performance, non-shrink grout, creating a reinforced connection that redistributes structural loads and prevents further movement or cracking.
What it Fixes
This method is particularly effective for addressing cracks caused by subsidence, thermal expansion, or general wear and tear. It is a minimally invasive solution that preserves the original appearance of the structure while providing long-term stability. Helifix crack stitching is suitable for a variety of masonry materials, including brick, stone, and concrete blocks, making it a versatile option for both residential and commercial properties.
